When you join Kivra, you will automatically receive digital mail from the connected companies and authorities with which you have a relationship. But you can always choose not to receive mail from a certain sender in Kivra. You manage that in settings in logged-in mode.

What is the orange envelope?

The orange envelope is your annual notice from the Swedish Pensions Agency regarding your earning of general pension, in form of income pension and premium pension.

Regarding your premium pension, you can see what funds your money is invested in. And how they have developed during the year.

If you log on to pensionsmyndigheten.se, you can see a pension forecast of your public pension. Also your occupational pension and any private savings for retirement.

The pension forecast is based on your life situation not changing negatively, for example if you become sick or unemployed. It is only a forecast and not an absolute truth. You can't predict the future, but you can use the forecast as a benchmark for how much you should save yourself to get a retirement you're happy with.

If you have started withdrawing your pension, the annual statement shows how much you will be paid each month in the coming year. And on what days it will take place.

The orange envelope 2024

Everyone who earns money for their general pension receives the orange envelope every year. The annual notices starts getting sent out in mid-January each year. Pensioners get their envelopes first. Then during February to March, the pension savers receive their envelopes. Different days depending on where in the country you live. Avoid delay by choosing to receive the orange envelope 2024 digitally.

What is general pension?

You earn the general pension when you pay taxes, and it comes from the state. You can also have the occupational pension and any private pension.

The general pension consists of income pension and premium pension. For your premium pension, you can choose what funds you want to invest your money in. If you do not make your own choice, money is invested in the state's preselection option AP7 Såfa, which is an age-fitted fund with a low fee.
