Notification about your electricity support payment
The wait is over. Almost, anyway. Some people will receive money before midsummer, others will have to wait a little longer. Are you wondering how much you will get back? You will soon receive news from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency – keep an eye on Kivra in the near future.

This is how much you can get in electricity support payment
The electricity support payment applies to households throughout Sweden and is based on your actual electricity consumption during January and February 2026. The subsidy is paid to the person who was on the electricity network agreement on February 28, 2026.
The compensation is calculated per kilowatt hour and differs between electricity areas:
Electricity areas 1 and 2: 14 öre/kWh
Electricity area 3: 26 öre/kWh
Electricity area 4: 29 öre/kWh
You can receive support for up to 10,000 kWh per home. The vast majority of households are expected to be below the ceiling and will therefore receive support for their entire consumption during the period.

How to get your money
Register your bank account in Swedbank's account register by May 25th to receive your electricity support payment as quickly as possible. If you do not register your account, you will still receive your money, but it will take longer. This also applies if you are already a Swedbank customer. You do not need to be or become a Swedbank customer to register your account for payment.

What happens if you don't have an account for payment?
If you do not register an account in Swedbank's account register, they will check whether you have an account registered with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency or the Swedish Pensions Agency. If you do, the electricity support payment will be paid there. If there is no account there either, you will instead receive a payment notice.

For those of you who are retired
If you receive a pension from the Swedish Pensions Agency, the electricity subsidy will instead be paid into the account registered there, and you do not need to register your account with Swedbank.
For those of you living abroad
If you live abroad, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency may, in exceptional cases, need to request your account details by letter.
