GodEl first out with Kivra's automatic payment: "A no brainer"

For a company that puts customers first, the payment process is critical. It requires something a little extra – so we found the perfect solution. The result? Within six weeks, 25% of GodEl's customers activated direct debit.

An Obvious Step

At GodEl, doing things the right way is paramount. An electricity company focused on fair agreements and strong customer relationships needs a payment solution where everything runs smoothly. And smooth it was, right from the start. Many of GodEl's customers have long preferred to receive their invoices in Kivra.

Kivra is currently our single largest invoicing channel. Being able to offer automatic payments to a large portion of our customer base in one fell swoop is a "no-brainer," says Björn Björnson, Head of Business Development at GodEl.

More Satisfied Customers and Stable Cash Flow

One of the most obvious benefits of Autogiro is, of course, the payment rate. With automatic deductions, the risk of customers forgetting to pay their invoices decreases. This in itself leads to a more stable cash flow but also indirectly to more satisfied customers and reduced administration for customer service. Björn explains:

If we receive negative reviews, it's often due to a missed payment. When a customer receives a payment reminder, it can, in the worst case, damage the customer relationship. Any way to make things easier for the customer is positive for us. Getting our customers to switch to Autogiro is, in other words, a win-win for everyone.

On the Customer's Terms

Imagine an Autogiro with complete transparency – a solution where you can set a limit on the amount that can be drawn. All without cumbersome administration and with full overview. Sounds good? Then your customers will think so too. This was the reasoning at GodEl, where they also want to eliminate as many unnecessary steps as possible.

With Kivra's solution, customers are offered full transparency. They avoid complicated processes, and activation is immediate. The customer is in the driver's seat and has full control, says Björn.

An Invoice with a Voice

It's not just about money – it's also about communication and brand building. For some of GodEl's customer groups, the invoice is the only communication channel. A golden opportunity to reach out with important information and tips. With Kivra's Autogiro, they get a small megaphone, a shortcut to millions of people.

The invoice is central to the customer experience. With Kivra's Autogiro, we believe the chance increases that the customer will actually look at it, says Björn.

Minimal Effort Yielded a Promising Future

GodEl wants to focus on what they do best and leave the rest to others. Kivra handled most of it, and they describe the process as painless and smooth.

One of the advantages of Kivra's Autogiro is that it integrates with the processes you already have. For us, the implementation has been extremely smooth and without any significant extra work on our part. Furthermore, we retain full control over which invoices have been paid.

Now, they are looking forward to seeing the results.

That 25% of our customers would activate Autogiro within 6 weeks was great. Kivra's Autogiro is a piece of the puzzle in our ambition to have the most satisfied customers in the country, concludes Björn.

About GodEl

In 2005, four successful entrepreneurs founded the GoodCause foundation. Their goal was to start and run businesses under the foundation's umbrella while simultaneously making the world a better place. They decided that the profits that would typically go to private owners in regular companies would instead be distributed annually to non-profit organizations working for a better world – and we're not talking about a slice of the profit, but the entire pie.

GodEl, the foundation's first company, has since its inception distributed 74 million SEK to its partner organizations, and today we are one of Sweden's largest electricity companies.
